Wow - what a difference a week can make

Team Laustin lost its focus this week; likely due to new responsibilities involving diapers and bottles. -2 for the Cincinnati area franchise and a drop from 1st to 3rd place on your FGL leaderboard.

Doug and his arch-enemy Kevin are now separated by just 1 point with 3 tournaments remaining.

My Camerons came through. My #2 and #3 picks were strong the whole tournament and finished 1st and 2nd at St. Andrews. And Rory was within one stroke of giving me a second person in 2nd place. But when the dust settled, 42 points for your Commissioner and the FGL lead.

Commissioner institutes a new rule

It’s nice being King but embarrassing that after 24 years, I haven’t yet addressed this. But if it should happen that there is a tie for first at the end of the regular season, those managers will compete in the following week’s event with the same teams they had when the season ended. No trades. This playoff will continue for as many weeks as the tie continues. Just something for us to complain about in winter meetings!

Time for THE Open. Peacock carries it when I'm sleeping. Then USA/NBC

Team Laustin adds to management team

Besides Al (Happy birthday Doctor), we now have another Independence Day baby. Julian Matthew was born far too early in the morning of July 4th. 7 pounds and 10 ounces. Mom has been discharged and Julian will be home in a day or two. Mom is doing well and so is Austin. Both are likely wondering when they’ll ever sleep a whole night ever again.

TWO TOURNAMENTS COMING UP. Barbasol in Kentucky. Terrible field. Someone might be able to steal an easy win. Scotish Open - first time we've had that. Strong field

Breakfast Souffle comes through - pushing Monica into solid 2nd place

Xander almost blew it but held strong to take the victory at The Travelers.

I think a lot of FGL golfers had US Open hangover. Most managers ended up scoring 0 points or less for this event.

Jim’s boy Kokrak needed a birdie on his last hole Friday to make the cut. His second shot flew way over the green out of bounds. Kokrak just walked off the course upsetting tournament officials. I’ve been there. I get it. I’ve felt that was sometimes by the 2nd hole.

Most everyone is skipping the John Deere Classic. The following week, we have two tournaments: the Barbasol and the Scotish Open.

Daniel HamBurger did not work out well with Team Jim earlier this season. While an amazing manager, I recall working well with Daniel just a few years ago. And so, I have chosen to pick up the Hamburger and also hope that Stewart Cink has some luck in his sticks with the British coming up. Gone are Alex Noren and LIV golfer Kevin Na Na Na Na.
