Buckeye Lake Golf
Wow - what a treat to golf with The Doctor and Bamer at some course right on Buckeye Lake. Beautiful day. And then over to Papa Boos!
Big week for Kevin
Looks like a 12 year old boy won the US Open. That’s great news for Kevin and the major sidebet.
Team Laustin had another great week with Scottie’s 2nd place finish and moves back into first place.
Doug - negative points in a Major? Shame Shame Shame
Time for the Travelers. Decent field for this.

Pinnacle Country Club - Monday
Got brought back for a Delta Dental event. Gorgeous course. But what terrible golf!
Commissioner slips into the lead
Thanks Rory for playing amazing in Canada. I could be picky and wish you had done that last week at the Memorial or next week at the US Open. But I suppose I should just enjoy the moment.
If you watched Sunday’s round, there were soooooo many really low rounds. Jim - I thought Justin Thomas had it until the 17th hole. He finished in 3rd thanks to Finau’s long birdie on 18. Sorry Jim.
As we move into our 4th of 5 Majors, I’d like to point out an unwritten rule. Perhaps it should be in the official rules. But there is no sympathy rooting in the FGL. Even Mrs. Commissioner was guilty of that last week as she, along with other FGL managers recently, commented on how nice it would be if Austin won. No - it would not! It would be nice if he came in 2nd place. I’d even be happy if all of you tied for 2nd place. But no rooting for the win. Especially when it’s against me!
Only 16 points separates 1st - 4th place. This could be a battle to the end!
The USGA presents: The US Open at The Country Club. I think it's going to be a bit awkward in the clubhouse for a few of these guys.

The FGL is represented at St. Andrews (the course, not my street)
PGA suspends 5 FGL golfers.
Dustin Johnson, Louis Oosthuizen, Kevin Na, Phil Mickelson and Talor Gooch have been suspended from the tour due to their participation in the new LIV tour. The Commissioner’s office expects similar suspensions to come out soon for lil Rickie Fowler, Bryson DeChambeau and Patrick “Robert” Reed. However - the PGA does not control the Majors so expect these guys to possibly be playing in the US Open and the Open Championship at St. Andrews.
Thursday golf at Glenross ugly
Beautiful day, bad golf. But more surprising, learned that Glenross clubhouse had a fire earlier in the week. Clubhouse shut down for a month; the rest of the facility probably for the year. What a mess!
Jim rocks the FGL world
You would think the new Saudi League has grabbed all the headlines. True - until Monday night. Jim has announced the immediate and permanent release of legendary Dustin Hoffman. Dustin was distraught with the news.
In this place, steps in Mr. Robert Reed.
Horchak??? Really?
Big J grabs the sidebet victory largely thanks to Billy Hoschel’s remarkable play at Muirfield Village. Niemann also brought in a top 10. Many might think Big J would be happy with this but I doubt it. This moves him far too high on the leaderboard which can only mess up his draft selection next year. Oh well.
My team was looking so good after Saturday but Jack just insisted everyone play one more round Sunday. Mostly my guys choked. But still enough to move me into 2nd place. And this also moves Monica into 1st place. Sorry Laustin. You fall from 1st to 3rd place with only a handful of points separating everyone at the top.
Someone reported that Matsuyama had some paint on one of his woods Friday. Yes Paul - that was me. Hideki got booted off the course for cheating. The FGL is a brutal league!
